The Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (UPPA) course is a knowledge-based qualification that studies the theory behind being an assessor.
You will not be able to assess in the learning environment nor in the work environment. It simply provides you with the knowledge behind assessment; If you want to assess in both environments, then we would highly recommend the CAVA qualification.
This assessor course is an industry standard qualification. The UPPA assessor course is ideal for those who are already qualified Assessors and want to get some CPD under their belt.
Unit 1 – Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
The first unit is a knowledge-based unit and covers all the theory behind the role and responsibilities of being an assessor. This unit is completed entirely via Brooks and Kirk’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Our VLE hosts a variety of videos and learning resources to help you with your assignments, but you will also have unlimited tutor support as well.
